About Placencia Yacht Charters
From Sunset to Success
Ten years ago, Amanda Haley was delivering a 53-foot Swan from Saddle Caye to Fort Lauderdale when a sunset at Placencia Yacht Club captured her heart. That magical moment left a piece of her soul in Belize, setting the stage for an extraordinary decade-long journey.
A Decade of Excellence
Amanda spent the next ten years mastering the marine industry while living aboard sailboats for over eight years. She earned her 50-Ton USCG Master's License, became a certified ASA Instructor, and built expertise as a yacht broker with Denison Yachting before establishing South Florida Sailing in 2016.
Her career progressed from specializing in sailboat sales to becoming a leading sales agent for charter fleet acquisitions. When COVID disrupted the industry, she adapted by managing day charter operations in Fort Lauderdale. Post-pandemic, she served as Americas Sales Director for a major charter company, gaining the strategic insights needed for her ultimate goal.

Amanda has now purchased stunning waterfront property on Placencia Caye featuring 240 feet of deep-water dock space.
